1. Purpose of This Policy
This Payment Policy explains how payments may be handled in connection with transactions, paid services, advertising, subscriptions, fees, and other financial activities associated with AntiqList.
It establishes responsibilities relating to payment authorization, payment security, failed payments, refunds, chargebacks, fraud prevention, and third-party payment services.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to payments made through or in connection with AntiqList, including where applicable:
purchases between buyers and sellers;
listing fees;
marketplace fees;
commissions;
promoted listings;
advertising services;
subscriptions;
premium services;
other paid platform services; and
applicable taxes and charges.
Not every payment method or payment service described in this Policy will necessarily be available at all times.
3. AntiqList's Role
AntiqList may provide payment-related functionality directly or through third-party payment service providers.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, AntiqList does not act as a bank, lender, insurer, escrow institution, or financial adviser.
Where a third-party payment provider processes a payment, that provider may be responsible for the actual authorization, processing, settlement, fraud controls, and handling of payment credentials.
4. Payment Services
Depending on the services available, AntiqList may support or facilitate payment methods provided by AntiqList or independent payment providers.
Available payment methods may vary according to:
country;
currency;
transaction type;
seller status;
buyer status;
transaction value;
risk assessment; and
payment provider availability.
5. Accepted Payment Methods
AntiqList may make certain payment methods available, which may include:
credit cards;
debit cards;
bank transfers;
supported digital payment methods;
payment-provider wallets; or
other payment methods introduced by AntiqList.
AntiqList may add, remove, restrict, or change payment methods at any time, subject to applicable law and contractual obligations.
6. Third-Party Payment Providers
AntiqList may use independent payment service providers to process payments.
Third-party providers may have their own:
terms and conditions;
privacy policies;
verification requirements;
transaction limits;
fraud-prevention systems;
refund procedures; and
dispute processes.
Users may be required to accept the applicable provider's terms before using its services.
7. Payment Authorization
A payment is not considered successfully completed merely because a user attempts to submit payment information.
A transaction may be considered paid only when the applicable payment system or provider confirms successful authorization or settlement, as applicable.
8. Payment Confirmation
Users should rely on official payment-system confirmation rather than screenshots, emails, or messages supplied by another user.
A seller should not release an item solely because a buyer claims that payment has been made.
9. Pending Payments
A payment may remain pending for a period of time.
Pending status may result from:
payment-provider review;
fraud screening;
bank processing;
verification requirements;
technical issues;
currency processing; or
other payment-system procedures.
10. Failed Payments
A payment may fail or be declined for reasons including:
insufficient funds;
incorrect payment information;
bank restrictions;
payment-provider restrictions;
fraud-prevention measures;
expired payment methods;
technical problems; or
other circumstances outside AntiqList's control.
Users may be required to provide another valid payment method.
11. Payment Authorization Holds
Certain payment providers may place temporary authorization holds or verification amounts on a payment method.
Such holds may be released according to the provider's procedures.
AntiqList does not control the timing of releases performed by independent financial institutions.
12. Currency
Transactions may be conducted in currencies supported by AntiqList or the applicable payment provider.
Where currency conversion occurs, the exchange rate may be determined by:
AntiqList;
the payment provider;
the card issuer;
the bank; or
another applicable financial institution.
13. Currency Conversion Charges
Users may incur currency conversion charges or foreign transaction fees imposed by banks, card issuers, payment providers, or other financial institutions.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, AntiqList is not responsible for fees imposed independently by a user's financial institution.
14. Taxes
Applicable taxes may be added to or included in prices depending on the transaction, seller status, buyer location, service type, and applicable law.
Users are responsible for complying with applicable tax obligations.
Additional information is available in the Taxes & Customs Policy.
15. Payment Information
Users must provide accurate payment information where required.
Users must not knowingly provide:
false payment information;
another person's payment details without authorization;
stolen payment credentials;
fraudulent billing information; or
altered payment records.
16. Payment Card Security
AntiqList generally does not need users to send complete payment-card details through marketplace communications.
Users should never disclose payment-card numbers, security codes, authentication codes, passwords, or similar sensitive information to another user.
17. Payment Credentials
Users are responsible for protecting their payment credentials.
AntiqList will not normally request sensitive payment credentials through ordinary buyer-seller communication.
Suspicious payment requests should be reported immediately.
18. Payment Fraud
Fraudulent payment activity is prohibited.
Examples include:
stolen cards;
unauthorized payment methods;
fake payment confirmations;
payment impersonation;
fraudulent invoices;
false bank-transfer confirmations;
payment diversion;
account takeover; and
attempts to obtain goods without legitimate payment.
19. Fake Payment Confirmations
Users must not create or send fake payment confirmations.
This includes manipulated:
bank receipts;
transaction screenshots;
payment emails;
invoices;
transfer confirmations; or
payment-provider notifications.
20. Bank Transfers
Where bank transfers are supported, users should carefully verify the recipient and account information before sending funds.
AntiqList cannot generally reverse a bank transfer once it has been processed by the relevant financial institution.
21. Payment to Unrelated Persons
Users should be cautious if another party requests payment to an account or person unrelated to the transaction.
Such requests may indicate fraud and should be independently verified.
22. Cryptocurrency and Unusual Payment Methods
Unless expressly supported by AntiqList, users should not assume that cryptocurrency, gift cards, prepaid vouchers, or other unusual payment methods are approved methods of payment.
Users should be particularly cautious when another party pressures them to use such methods.
23. Off-Platform Payments
Users should exercise caution when asked to make payments outside AntiqList's available payment systems.
Off-platform payments may not benefit from platform records, payment controls, dispute procedures, or other safeguards.
Users must not use off-platform payment arrangements to circumvent AntiqList policies or applicable legal requirements.
24. Seller Payment Responsibility
Where a transaction is completed directly between a buyer and seller, the seller remains responsible for complying with applicable laws and for fulfilling the seller's contractual obligations.
AntiqList does not automatically become a party to the underlying sale merely because its platform was used to facilitate communication or discovery.
25. Buyer Payment Responsibility
Buyers are responsible for ensuring that:
they authorize their own payments;
payment information is accurate;
sufficient funds are available;
they understand the transaction price;
applicable taxes or charges are understood; and
they retain appropriate transaction records.
26. Payment for AntiqList Services
Where AntiqList charges fees for its own services, the applicable price will be presented before or during the purchase process where reasonably practicable.
Applicable services may include:
promoted listings;
advertising;
subscriptions;
listing services;
premium features; or
other paid services.
27. Marketplace Fees and Commissions
Where applicable, AntiqList may charge marketplace fees, commissions, listing fees, transaction fees, or other charges.
The applicable fee structure will depend on the service being used.
Users should review the applicable Paid Services & Fees Policy and Marketplace Fees & Commission Policy.
28. Recurring Payments and Subscriptions
If AntiqList offers subscription-based services, users may be charged periodically according to the subscription terms presented at the time of purchase.
Users should review:
subscription price;
billing interval;
renewal date;
cancellation requirements; and
applicable refund terms.
29. Automatic Renewal
Where a subscription automatically renews, the applicable terms will be presented before purchase or renewal where required by law.
Users may cancel recurring services in accordance with the applicable cancellation procedure.
30. Cancellation of Subscriptions
Users may cancel recurring services according to the applicable subscription terms.
Cancellation generally prevents future renewal but does not necessarily reverse charges already properly incurred.
Mandatory statutory cancellation rights remain unaffected.
31. Refunds
Refunds may be available in accordance with:
the applicable transaction terms;
the Refund & Cancellation Policy;
the seller's applicable return policy;
applicable consumer law; and
the rules of the relevant payment provider.
AntiqList does not guarantee a refund in every dispute.
32. Seller Refund Obligations
Where a seller is legally or contractually responsible for a refund, the seller remains responsible for providing that refund.
AntiqList may assist with communication or dispute procedures where appropriate but does not automatically assume the seller's financial obligations.
33. AntiqList Service Refunds
Where a payment relates directly to an AntiqList service rather than an underlying buyer-seller transaction, refunds will be handled according to the applicable paid-service terms and applicable law.
34. Duplicate Payments
If a user believes they have been charged more than once for the same service or transaction, they should contact AntiqList or the relevant payment provider promptly.
Evidence of the duplicate charge may be requested.
35. Incorrect Charges
Users should report suspected incorrect charges as soon as reasonably practicable.
Reports should include sufficient transaction information to allow the issue to be investigated.
36. Chargebacks
A chargeback is a payment reversal initiated through a card issuer, bank, or payment provider.
Users should use chargeback procedures honestly and only for legitimate reasons.
37. Chargeback Abuse
Users must not initiate fraudulent chargebacks to obtain goods or services without paying or to recover funds already legitimately refunded.
Abusive chargeback activity may result in:
account restrictions;
suspension;
termination;
recovery of amounts owed; or
cooperation with payment providers and authorities where permitted.
38. No Double Recovery
Users should not obtain duplicate financial recovery for the same loss through multiple mechanisms.
For example, a user should not knowingly obtain both a platform refund and a chargeback covering the same amount.
39. Payment Disputes
Where a payment dispute concerns an underlying buyer-seller transaction, users should first review the applicable dispute and refund procedures.
AntiqList may provide reasonable assistance within the scope of its services.
40. Payment Provider Disputes
Certain disputes may need to be handled directly through the applicable card issuer, bank, payment provider, or financial institution.
AntiqList cannot override decisions made independently by such providers.
41. Fraud Monitoring
AntiqList and its payment providers may use reasonable fraud-prevention measures.
These may include:
transaction monitoring;
identity verification;
device or account risk analysis;
payment screening;
transaction limits;
temporary restrictions; and
additional verification.
42. Transaction Holds or Restrictions
A transaction may be delayed, restricted, or prevented where there are reasonable indicators of:
fraud;
unauthorized payment;
suspicious account activity;
legal restrictions;
payment-provider risk;
sanctions or compliance concerns; or
other significant risks.
43. Additional Verification
AntiqList or a payment provider may request additional information to verify a transaction or account.
Users may be required to complete identity or payment verification before certain services can be used.
44. Failure to Complete Verification
Failure to provide reasonably requested verification information may result in:
delayed payment;
restricted functionality;
cancellation of a transaction;
suspension of payment-related features; or
account restrictions.
45. High-Value Transactions
High-value transactions may be subject to additional payment controls or verification.
Users should review the High-Value Transactions Policy before completing significant purchases.
46. Payment Security Measures
AntiqList may implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect payment-related information and reduce unauthorized activity.
No electronic payment system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
47. Account Security
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their AntiqList accounts.
Users should:
use strong passwords;
protect authentication credentials;
avoid sharing account access;
monitor suspicious activity; and
promptly report suspected account compromise.
48. Unauthorized Payments
If a user believes that an unauthorized payment has occurred, the user should promptly contact:
the relevant bank or card issuer;
the applicable payment provider; and
AntiqList where the transaction is connected to AntiqList.
Prompt reporting may assist in limiting potential losses.
49. Payment Scams
Users should be cautious of requests involving:
urgent payments;
unusual payment methods;
fake escrow services;
fake AntiqList invoices;
fake payment links;
requests for authentication codes;
requests for payment-card information; or
payments to unrelated accounts.
50. Fake AntiqList Payment Requests
AntiqList users should verify that payment requests genuinely originate from AntiqList or an authorized payment provider.
AntiqList will not normally request passwords, full payment-card credentials, or authentication codes through buyer-seller communications.
51. Payment Links
Users should verify the destination of a payment link before entering financial information.
Suspicious or unexpected payment links should not be opened or used.
52. Payment Information in Listings and Messages
Users should not publicly post sensitive financial information in:
listings;
reviews;
comments;
profile information;
public messages; or
other marketplace content.
53. Privacy of Payment Information
Payment-related personal information will be handled according to applicable privacy and data protection requirements.
Where third-party payment providers are used, relevant payment information may be processed by those providers according to their own policies.
54. Payment Records
AntiqList or its service providers may retain transaction and payment records where reasonably necessary for:
accounting;
fraud prevention;
dispute resolution;
customer support;
legal compliance;
tax requirements; or
security purposes.
Retention remains subject to applicable privacy requirements.
55. Invoices and Receipts
Where applicable, users may receive invoices, receipts, payment confirmations, or other transaction records.
The form and availability of such documents may depend on the service and payment provider.
56. Taxes and Withholding
Certain transactions may involve taxes, withholding obligations, reporting requirements, or other governmental charges.
Buyers and sellers remain responsible for their respective obligations under applicable law.
57. International Payments
International transactions may involve:
currency conversion;
bank charges;
payment restrictions;
customs charges;
taxes;
sanctions restrictions;
transfer delays; or
additional verification.
Users are responsible for understanding applicable requirements.
58. Payment Restrictions

illegal goods;
stolen property;
counterfeit goods;
fraud;
money laundering;
sanctions violations;
unauthorized financial activity;

banks;
card networks;
financial institutions;
fraud-prevention services;
law enforcement;

other competent authorities
where legally permitted or required.
62. Payment Service Availability
Payment services may occasionally become unavailable because of:
maintenance;
technical failures;
payment-provider outages;
network problems;
security measures;
legal restrictions; or
circumstances outside AntiqList's reasonable control.
63. No Guarantee of Payment Availability
AntiqList does not guarantee that every payment method will always be available or that every payment will be successfully authorized.
64. No Financial Advice
AntiqList does not provide financial, investment, banking, tax, accounting, or professional payment advice.
Users should obtain independent professional advice where appropriate.
65. User Responsibility for Financial Decisions
Users are responsible for evaluating the financial risks of transactions before making payments.
This is particularly important for high-value purchases, international transactions, and transactions involving uncertain authenticity or provenance.
66. Payment Errors
If AntiqList becomes aware of a technical or administrative payment error, it may take reasonable steps to correct the error.
This may include:
correcting account balances;
reversing erroneous credits;
correcting charges;
requesting additional payment; or
issuing an appropriate refund.
67. Account Credits
Where AntiqList provides account credits, promotional credits, or other non-cash balances, their use may be subject to additional terms.
Unless otherwise stated, credits may not be transferable or redeemable for cash.
68. Fraudulent Use of Credits
Users must not manipulate, duplicate, transfer, sell, or fraudulently obtain account credits or promotional benefits.

prevent fraud;
protect users;
comply with legal requirements;
investigate suspicious activity;
enforce marketplace rules; or
comply with payment-provider requirements.
70. Effect of Account Termination
Termination of an AntiqList account does not automatically eliminate outstanding financial obligations.
Users may remain responsible for:
unpaid fees;
valid refunds;
chargeback-related amounts;
contractual obligations; or
other amounts lawfully owed.
71. Relationship With Refund Policy
Refunds are also governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

verification requirements;
transaction limits;
fraud-prevention systems;
refund procedures; and
dispute processes.
Pending status may result from:
payment-provider review;

31. Refunds
Refunds may be available in accordance with:
the applicable transaction terms;
the Refund & Cancellation Policy;
the seller's applicable return policy;
applicable consumer law; and
the rules of the relevant payment provider.
