Last Updated: 07 September 2026
Version: 1

Legal Name: AntiqList
Address: Yenişafak Mah. Merkezefendi Denizli / Türkiye
Email: [email protected]
Website: https://www.antiqlist.com/

1. Purpose
This Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy establishes the categories of goods and content that may not be listed, offered, sold, exchanged, or promoted through AntiqList, as well as items that may only be listed when specific legal requirements, documentation, licenses, or other conditions are satisfied.

AntiqList is committed to maintaining a marketplace that supports lawful, responsible, and transparent trading of antiques, collectibles, historical objects, vintage goods, art, and related items.

Because laws differ between countries, an item may be legal to possess in one jurisdiction but prohibited from sale, export, import, shipment, or transfer in another.

Users are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations.

2. General Prohibition
Users must not list or facilitate transactions involving items that:

Are illegal to possess, sell, purchase, transfer, import, or export;
Are stolen or suspected to be stolen;
Are counterfeit or fraudulent;
Are unlawfully obtained;
Require authorization that the seller does not possess;
Violate intellectual property rights;
Are prohibited under applicable cultural heritage laws;
Create an unacceptable safety risk;
Violate this Policy or other AntiqList policies.

AntiqList may remove, restrict, suspend, or otherwise take action against listings or accounts that violate this Policy.

3. Prohibited Items
The following categories are generally prohibited on AntiqList unless expressly permitted by AntiqList in writing and legally permitted under applicable law.
3.1 Stolen Property
Users must not list:

Stolen antiques;
Stolen artwork;
Stolen jewelry;
Stolen historical objects;
Stolen collectibles;
Property known or reasonably suspected to have been unlawfully obtained.

This includes items subject to an active ownership dispute where the seller does not have clear legal authority to sell the item.

3.2 Counterfeit and Fake Items
The following are prohibited:

Counterfeit antiques;
Fake branded goods;
Fake designer items;
Fake watches;
Fake jewelry;
Fake signatures;
Fake artist marks;
Fake maker marks;
Fake labels;
Fake certificates;
Fake provenance documents;
Fraudulently altered historical objects.

Items represented as genuine when the seller knows or reasonably should know that they are counterfeit are prohibited.

3.3 Fraudulent Documentation
Users must not offer or upload:

Forged certificates;
Fabricated provenance records;
Fake auction documentation;
Altered ownership records;
False authentication reports;
Forged signatures;
Forged institutional records;
Fraudulent historical documents.

Using fraudulent documentation to establish authenticity or provenance is strictly prohibited.

4. Archaeological and Cultural Heritage Objects
AntiqList applies particular caution to archaeological and cultural heritage objects.

Listings may be prohibited or restricted where an object appears to have been:

Illegally excavated;
Illegally removed from an archaeological site;
Illegally exported;
Illegally imported;
Illegally acquired;
Removed from protected cultural property;
Offered without legally required documentation;
Associated with unexplained or suspicious provenance.

Examples may include:

Archaeological artifacts;
Ancient sculptures;
Ancient pottery;
Antiquities;
Ancient coins;
Archaeological tools;
Ancient weapons;
Religious artifacts;
Historical funerary objects;
Archaeological fragments.

The age or historical significance of an object does not automatically establish that it may legally be traded.

5. Human Remains
Listings involving human remains or objects containing human remains may be prohibited.

This may include:

Human bones;
Skulls;
Teeth;
Mummified human remains;
Human tissue;
Funerary remains;
Objects incorporating human remains.

AntiqList may prohibit such listings regardless of whether the seller claims historical, scientific, educational, or collectible value.

Exceptions, if any, may depend on applicable law and AntiqList's prior written approval.

6. Protected Wildlife and Animal-Derived Materials
Users must not list protected wildlife or products made from protected species where prohibited by applicable law.

Potentially prohibited or restricted materials may include:

Ivory;
Rhino horn;
Protected animal skins;
Certain reptile skins;
Protected bird feathers;
Coral;
Tortoiseshell;
Whale-related materials;
Endangered species products;
Other wildlife-derived materials subject to legal restrictions.

An item being antique does not automatically exempt it from wildlife protection or international trade restrictions.

Where applicable, sellers may be required to demonstrate lawful acquisition and appropriate permits.

7. Ivory
Ivory and ivory-containing objects may be subject to strict national and international restrictions.

AntiqList may prohibit or restrict:

Raw ivory;
Elephant ivory;
Ivory carvings;
Ivory jewelry;
Ivory piano components;
Ivory decorative objects;
Items containing significant ivory components.

AntiqList may require evidence concerning:

Age;
Species;
Origin;
Legal acquisition;
Ownership history;
Applicable permits;
Import/export authorization.

Where legal status cannot be reasonably established, the listing may be removed or rejected.

8. Weapons and Historical Weapons
Certain weapons and weapon-related objects may be prohibited or restricted.

Depending on applicable law, this may include:

Firearms;
Ammunition;
Explosives;
Automatic weapons;
Certain knives;
Prohibited blades;
Functional military weapons;
Weapon components;
Suppressors;
Illegal weapon accessories.

Historical or collectible status does not automatically make a weapon lawful to sell.

AntiqList may also restrict decorative or deactivated weapons where local law requires specific documentation or licensing.

9. Military and War-Related Objects
Certain military collectibles may be listed only where lawful.

Examples include:

Historical uniforms;
Medals;
Insignia;
Helmets;
Military documents;
Historical equipment;
Deactivated military objects.

However, items may be prohibited if they constitute:

Functional weapons;

Explosives;
Illegal military equipment;
Restricted weapon components;
Property unlawfully removed from military custody.

Users must not misrepresent reproduction military items as genuine historical objects.

The following are prohibited:

Explosives;
Live ammunition;
Bombs;
Grenades;
Detonators;
Explosive components;
Live military ordnance;
Unexploded ordnance;
Dangerous chemical materials;
Other items presenting an unacceptable safety risk.

Even historical or deactivated-looking objects may be restricted where their condition or contents cannot be safely established.

11. Illegal Drugs and Controlled Substances
AntiqList does not permit listings involving:

Illegal drugs;
Controlled substances offered unlawfully;
Drug manufacturing materials where prohibited;
Drug paraphernalia where prohibited by applicable law.

Historical or collectible descriptions do not make an otherwise prohibited substance acceptable for listing.

12. Counterfeit Currency and Financial Instruments
Users must not list:

Counterfeit banknotes;
Counterfeit coins represented as genuine currency;
Fake government-issued securities;
Fraudulent financial instruments;
Counterfeit official documents.

Historical or collectible currency may be subject to additional restrictions depending on applicable law and the nature of the item.

13. Government-Issued Documents and Official Credentials
Users must not sell or facilitate the unlawful transfer of:

Passports;
Identity documents;
Driver's licenses;
Government credentials;
Blank official documents;
Official seals;
Government authentication devices;
Other documents whose transfer is prohibited by law.

Historical documents may be treated differently where lawful and where they are no longer valid official credentials.

14. Stolen or Illegally Obtained Cultural Property
A cultural object may not be listed merely because the seller currently possesses it.

Users must have appropriate legal authority to sell an item.

AntiqList may request documentation showing:

Lawful ownership;
Previous ownership;
Provenance;
Acquisition history;
Export authorization;
Import documentation;
Government permits;
Auction records;
Other relevant records.

15. Looted or Illegally Excavated Antiquities
AntiqList prohibits listings involving objects that the seller knows or reasonably suspects were:

Looted;
Illegally excavated;
Removed from archaeological sites without authorization;
Removed from protected locations;
Smuggled;
Illegally exported.

Statements such as “found in the ground,” “dug up,” or “found near ancient ruins” may trigger additional review.

Certain religious or sacred objects may be subject to special legal, cultural, ethical, or institutional restrictions.

AntiqList may restrict listings involving:

Sacred human remains;
Religious objects unlawfully removed from institutions;
Objects belonging to protected communities;
Objects subject to cultural heritage restrictions;
Objects with unclear or suspicious provenance.

Users should not misrepresent the cultural, religious, or historical origin of an item.

17. Nazi-Era and Extremist-Related Memorabilia
Historical items associated with extremist regimes or organizations may be subject to restrictions in certain jurisdictions.

AntiqList may prohibit or restrict items where their sale, display, symbols, or distribution is unlawful or presents a significant legal or safety concern.

Where historical memorabilia is permitted, sellers must accurately describe:

Its historical nature;
Its authenticity;
Whether it is a reproduction;
Its provenance where relevant.

AntiqList may remove content containing unlawful extremist propaganda or material prohibited by applicable law.

18. Hate, Terrorist, or Criminal Organization Merchandise
Users must not list merchandise or materials that unlawfully promote, support, recruit for, or materially assist terrorist, criminal, or prohibited extremist organizations.

This may include:

Recruitment materials;
Propaganda;
Fundraising materials;
Organizational merchandise;
Instructional materials for criminal activity.

Historical documentation may be subject to different treatment when presented for legitimate educational or archival purposes and where lawful.

Listings involving radioactive or nuclear materials are prohibited unless expressly permitted by applicable law and specifically authorized by AntiqList.

Examples may include:

Radioactive sources;
Nuclear materials;
Certain radioactive antiques;
Radium-containing materials presenting significant safety risks.

Historical value does not override applicable safety and regulatory requirements.

23. Medical and Pharmaceutical Items
AntiqList may prohibit or restrict:

Prescription medicines;
Controlled medicines;
Medical devices requiring licensing;
Biological specimens;
Human tissue;
Certain laboratory materials;
Other regulated medical products.

Historical medical instruments may be acceptable when they do not contain prohibited materials and are lawfully transferable.

24. Animal Traps and Harmful Devices
Certain devices designed primarily to cause serious injury or unlawful harm may be prohibited.

AntiqList may restrict:

Illegal traps;
Prohibited hunting equipment;
Devices intended for unlawful harm;
Other dangerous mechanisms.

25. Stolen Art and Artworks With Disputed Ownership
Artworks may not be listed where the seller knows or reasonably suspects that:

The artwork was stolen;
Ownership is disputed;
The seller lacks legal authority to sell it;
The artwork is subject to a legal seizure;
The artwork is subject to a court order restricting transfer.

AntiqList may request ownership and provenance documentation.

26. Forged Artworks
Users must not list forged or deliberately misrepresented artworks as genuine.

This includes:

Forged paintings;
Fake sculptures;
Forged signatures;
Artificially aged works;
Altered works represented as original;
Works falsely attributed to famous artists.

If an item is a reproduction or imitation, it must be clearly described as such where listing is permitted.

27. Reproductions, Replicas, and Modern Copies
Reproductions may be permitted when clearly and accurately identified.

A seller must not describe a modern reproduction as:

Original;
Period;
Authentic;
Antique;
Artist-made original;

when such statements are false or misleading.

AntiqList may remove listings that intentionally disguise modern reproductions as historical originals.

Users must not make false claims regarding:

Previous owners;

Famous historical figures;
Historical events;

Reuse certificates belonging to another item;
Misrepresent the issuer;
Claim authentication that was never performed.

30. Items Requiring Special Licenses or Permits
Certain goods may be legal only when the seller has appropriate authorization.

AntiqList may require evidence of:

Licenses;
Permits;
Export approvals;
Import approvals;
Registration documents;
Government authorization;
Other legally required documentation.

If required documentation is not provided, AntiqList may restrict or remove the listing.

Item identity;

Authenticity;
Condition;
Origin;
Provenance;
Manufacturer;
Artist;
Materials;
Dimensions;
Restoration;
Availability.

Misleading listings may be removed.
