1. Purpose of This Policy
This Account Suspension & Termination Policy explains the circumstances in which AntiqList may restrict, suspend, disable, or terminate user accounts and the procedures that may apply to such actions.

The purpose of this Policy is to protect:

buyers;
sellers;
the integrity of the marketplace;
intellectual property rights;
personal information;

legal compliance; and
the overall safety of AntiqList.

2. Scope
This Policy applies to all AntiqList accounts, including accounts operated by:

individual users;
private sellers;
professional sellers;
businesses;

other authorized users.

It applies to conduct occurring on AntiqList and, where relevant, conduct outside the platform that materially affects the safety, integrity, or lawful operation of AntiqList.

3. AntiqList's Right to Enforce Its Rules
AntiqList may take reasonable enforcement action when a user:

violates the Terms of Use;
violates an AntiqList policy;
engages in fraudulent activity;
creates a significant safety risk;
violates applicable law;
misuses the platform;
provides materially false information; or
interferes with the operation or security of the marketplace.

Enforcement decisions will be made subject to applicable law.

4. Types of Account Restrictions
Depending on the circumstances, AntiqList may apply:

a warning;
content removal;
listing restrictions;
messaging restrictions;
reduced visibility;
temporary feature restrictions;
payment restrictions;
advertising restrictions;
temporary suspension;
indefinite suspension; or
permanent account termination.

Different restrictions may apply to different violations.

5. Warnings
For less serious or first-time violations, AntiqList may issue a warning.

A warning may explain:

the relevant conduct;
the applicable rule;
the corrective action required; and
the potential consequences of future violations.

AntiqList is not required to issue a warning before taking immediate action where circumstances warrant.

6. Temporary Suspension
AntiqList may temporarily suspend an account when appropriate.

A temporary suspension may be used to:

investigate suspected violations;
prevent ongoing fraud;
protect users;
verify account information;
investigate suspicious transactions;
review prohibited listings;
respond to credible complaints; or
address security concerns.

7. Indefinite Suspension
In some circumstances, an account may be suspended indefinitely while AntiqList determines whether the account may safely and lawfully continue operating.

An indefinite suspension does not necessarily mean that the account has been permanently terminated.

8. Permanent Termination
AntiqList may permanently terminate an account where appropriate, including where a user:

repeatedly violates platform rules;
engages in serious fraud;
knowingly sells prohibited items;
repeatedly submits misleading listings;
engages in serious harassment;
attempts to evade enforcement;

This may include:

counterfeit antiques;
fake artwork;
fake branded goods;

deliberately misrepresented reproductions.

12. Stolen Property
Accounts may be restricted where there are credible concerns that a user is attempting to sell:

stolen property;

unlawfully obtained collectibles;
stolen cultural objects; or

AntiqList may take immediate action concerning listings or accounts associated with potentially:

illegally excavated objects;
looted antiquities;
unlawfully exported cultural property;

legal compliance;
business verification;
security; or
other legitimate purposes.

Materially false or fraudulent information may result in account restriction or termination.

16. Account Verification
AntiqList may request additional information to verify an account where reasonably necessary.

Verification may be required because of:

suspicious activity;
unusual transactions;
repeated policy violations;
legal requirements;
security concerns;
seller status;
payment issues; or
other legitimate compliance reasons.

AntiqList will request only information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose, subject to applicable law.

17. Failure to Complete Verification
Where verification is reasonably required and a user does not provide the requested information within a reasonable period, AntiqList may:

restrict account functionality;
restrict listings;
restrict payments;
suspend the account; or
take other appropriate action.

18. Multiple Accounts
AntiqList may restrict multiple accounts where they are used to:

evade suspension;
circumvent termination;
manipulate reviews;
manipulate listings;
commit fraud;
avoid legitimate fees;
bypass geographic restrictions; or
otherwise circumvent platform rules.

19. Circumvention of Suspension
Users must not create or use another account to evade an existing restriction or suspension.

Circumvention may result in:

suspension of additional accounts;
permanent termination;
removal of related listings; or
other appropriate enforcement.

20. Listing Violations
An account may be restricted for repeatedly publishing listings that violate AntiqList rules.

Examples include:

prohibited items;
misleading descriptions;
fake authenticity claims;
fraudulent provenance;
misleading pricing;

repeated duplicate listings.

spam;
mass messaging;
automated abuse;
excessive duplicate listings;

obtain passwords;
steal authentication codes;
exploit vulnerabilities;
deploy malicious software;

25. Intellectual Property Violations
AntiqList may restrict accounts that repeatedly or seriously infringe third-party intellectual property rights.

This may include:

copyright infringement;
trademark infringement;
unauthorized use of photographs;
counterfeit branding;

Users must not use external communication or payment methods specifically to:

evade legitimate AntiqList fees;
bypass safety controls;
circumvent platform restrictions;
facilitate prohibited transactions; or
deceive another user.

Off-platform communication itself is not necessarily prohibited.

28. Paid Services and Advertising
Account restrictions may also affect:

advertising;
sponsored listings;
featured listings;
promoted listings;
subscriptions;
premium services; or
other paid features.

Payment for a paid service does not prevent AntiqList from enforcing its rules.

29. Effect on Active Listings
When an account is suspended or terminated, AntiqList may:

deactivate listings;
remove listings;
stop promotional placement;
restrict new listings;
prevent new transactions; or
otherwise limit marketplace functionality.

30. Effect on Pending Transactions
Where an account is suspended, AntiqList may take reasonable measures concerning pending activity to protect users and the marketplace.

Depending on the circumstances, AntiqList may:

temporarily restrict communications;
restrict listings;
request additional information;
notify affected users where appropriate; or
cooperate with payment providers or authorities where legally permitted.

AntiqList does not automatically become a party to an underlying buyer-seller contract.

31. Outstanding Payments and Obligations
Account suspension or termination does not automatically eliminate legitimate financial or contractual obligations.

Users remain responsible for obligations that legally survive account closure.

32. Refunds Following Termination
Account termination does not automatically entitle a user to a refund of:

listing fees;
advertising fees;
promotional fees;
subscription fees; or
other paid services.

Refund eligibility depends on applicable law, the relevant service terms, and the circumstances of the termination.

33. Suspension for Legal Compliance
AntiqList may restrict an account where necessary to:

comply with applicable law;
respond to a valid legal request;
comply with a court order;
cooperate with an authorized authority;
address sanctions or trade restrictions; or
meet other legal or regulatory obligations.

34. Emergency Restrictions
AntiqList may impose immediate restrictions where necessary to address an urgent risk involving:

personal safety;
fraud;
financial harm;
illegal activity;
cybersecurity;
child safety;
stolen property; or
other serious risks.

Prior notice may not always be possible in such circumstances.

35. Notice of Suspension or Termination
Where reasonably possible and legally permitted, AntiqList may notify the affected user of:

the action taken;
the general reason;
relevant restrictions;
duration, where known; and
available appeal or reconsideration options.

AntiqList may limit information where disclosure could compromise:

an investigation;
security;
fraud-prevention systems;
another person's privacy;
legal proceedings; or
a legal obligation.

36. Appeals and Reconsideration
Where available, users may request reconsideration of an account restriction.

An appeal should explain:

the relevant account;
the action being challenged;
the user's position;
relevant facts; and
supporting evidence where available.

Appeals should be submitted to:

[email protected]

37. Appeal Review
AntiqList may review appeals using:

account information;
listing history;
communications;
reports;
transaction information;
submitted evidence; and
other relevant information available to AntiqList.

The outcome may include:

restoration;
partial restoration;
continued restriction;
additional verification;
modification of the restriction; or
termination.

38. No Guarantee of Reinstatement
Submitting an appeal does not guarantee that an account will be restored.

AntiqList may maintain a restriction where there are reasonable grounds to do so.

39. Repeated Appeals
Users should provide meaningful new information when submitting a further appeal.

Repeated substantially identical appeals may not receive separate detailed review where no relevant new information is provided.

40. False Information During Appeals
Users must provide truthful information during an appeal.

Submitting:

forged documents;
fabricated evidence;
false statements;
manipulated screenshots; or
misleading information

may result in additional enforcement action.

41. Account Closure by the User
Users may generally request closure of their AntiqList account through available account settings or by contacting AntiqList.

Account closure may not immediately eliminate:

outstanding obligations;
legally required records;
unresolved disputes;
fraud investigations; or
other information that AntiqList is legally permitted or required to retain.

42. Data Retention After Termination
Following suspension or termination, AntiqList may retain certain information where reasonably necessary for:

legal compliance;
fraud prevention;
security;
dispute resolution;
accounting;
enforcement;
prevention of repeated abuse; or
establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

Data handling is subject to the AntiqList Privacy Policy and applicable law.

43. Re-Registration After Termination
A user whose account has been permanently terminated must not create another account to circumvent the termination unless AntiqList expressly permits it.

AntiqList may restrict newly created accounts reasonably believed to be associated with a previously terminated account.

44. Business and Professional Accounts
Professional sellers and businesses may be subject to additional verification and compliance requirements.

AntiqList may consider:

business identity;
seller history;
complaints;
regulatory requirements;
listing practices;
transaction behavior; and
other relevant factors.

45. Account Security
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts.

Users should:

use strong passwords;
protect authentication information;
avoid sharing credentials;
monitor account activity; and
promptly report unauthorized access.

A user may be temporarily restricted while an account security incident is investigated.

46. Compromised Accounts
If AntiqList reasonably believes that an account has been compromised, it may temporarily restrict access.

The restriction may remain in place until reasonable security measures have been completed.

47. Enforcement Against Related Accounts
Where legally permitted, AntiqList may consider relationships between accounts when investigating:

fraud;
suspension circumvention;
coordinated manipulation;
prohibited transactions;
abuse; or
security threats.

AntiqList will seek to avoid unjustified action against unrelated users.

48. Enforcement Does Not Determine Legal Liability
A platform suspension or termination is an AntiqList account-management decision.

It does not necessarily constitute a legal determination that a user is liable for a crime, civil wrong, or other legal violation.

Where appropriate, legal determinations may be left to competent authorities or courts.

49. Cooperation With Authorities
Where legally required or reasonably appropriate, AntiqList may cooperate with:

law enforcement;
courts;
regulators;
customs authorities;
intellectual property rights holders;
payment providers; or
other authorized entities.

Information may be disclosed only as permitted or required by applicable law.

50. Protection of Other Users
Account enforcement is intended in part to protect the AntiqList community.

AntiqList may take action to reduce risks to:

buyers;
sellers;
advertisers;
businesses;
rights holders; and
other platform users.

51. No Guarantee of Complete Detection
AntiqList does not guarantee that every violation, fraudulent account, or abusive activity will be detected.

Users should remain alert and report suspicious activity.

52. No Waiver of Legal Rights
Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude or restrict mandatory legal rights.

Users may have rights under applicable consumer, privacy, contract, or other laws that cannot legally be waived.
